Abstract
The crystal structure of laurionite, Pb(OH)Cl, has been determined using three-dimensional intensities, measured with an automated Philips PW 1100 single-crystal diffractometer. The structure differs substantially from that proposed by GOLDSZTAUB (1939) and BRASSEUR (1940). The cell constants, obtained by least-squares from direct O-value measurements on the diffractom- eter, are: a = 9.6987, b = 4.0203, c = 7.1110 A, Z = 4. The space group isKeywords
