Magnetoresistance of dilute alloys at absolute zero: ThePdNi case

Abstract
The longitudinal magnetoresistance of dilute Pd Ni alloys (c1.3 at.%) is studied at 0 K in fields up to 100 kOe. When the matrix contribution is separated, using a new method valid for dilute magnetic systems, the impurity contribution is found proportional to M2, in disagreement with prior results but in agreement with the predictions of a phenomenological model of the resistivity, which is extended to account for an external field and the presence of an enhanced matrix.
