Abstract
The longitudinal magnetoresistance of dilute Pd Ni alloys ( at.%) is studied at 0 K in fields up to 100 kOe. When the matrix contribution is separated, using a new method valid for dilute magnetic systems, the impurity contribution is found proportional to , in disagreement with prior results but in agreement with the predictions of a phenomenological model of the resistivity, which is extended to account for an external field and the presence of an enhanced matrix.
