Abstract
This report of tuberculous peritonitis in a CAPD patient is the eighth in the world's literature. A 54-year-old black woman presented with fever of recent onset and signs of an acute abdomen after 13 months of uncomplicated CAPD. After three weeks of investigation, supportive therapy, antibiotics and hemodialysis, a laparotomy established the diagnosis of tuberculous peritonitis. She responded promptly to antituberculous therapy. Keywords
