Abstract
The technique of neutron polarisation analysis has been used to examine the broad 'central' peak in paramagnetic praseodymium. Measurements over the temperature range 1.2-25K show that these peaks, observed at reciprocal space positions (Q1, 0, 2m+1) with Q1=0.11 tau 100, are entirely magnetic in character. The relationship between these short-range magnetic correlations and the long-range antiferromagnetic ordering process is discussed. Keywords
