Abstract
Field Emission flat panel Displays (FEDs) are rapidly being developed for use in next generation consumer electronics which will require greater performance with reduced power consumption and cost relative to flat panel displays available today. This paper provides a brief introduction to field emission displays and identify some key technology modules that FEDs employ. Finally, the paper discusses recent development of the world's first spatial color FED by Micron Display Technology, Inc Author(s) Cathey, D.A., Jr. Micron Display Technol.
