Abstract
The carbanion of diethyl 1-cyano-1-fluoromethanephosphonate 3, generated in situ from diethyl cyanomethanephosphonate 2 and N-fluorobis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide 1, undergoes the Wittig–Horner reaction with aldehydes and ketones to yield α-fluoro-α,β-unsaturated nitriles 5.Keywords
