The X-ray crystal structure of the indium(III) iodide–bis(dimethyl sulphoxide) adduct

Abstract
The addition compound of stoicheiometry InI3(Me2SO)2 is shown to be an ionic dimer [InI2(Me2SO)4][InI4] in the solid state: the iodine atoms in the cation are in the cis-configuration.
