Abstract
This is a further study of the model of oxygen diffusion through a liquid cylindrical shell to plant roots, and the use of an oxygen cathode made of platinum wire to evaluate the resistance to diffusion. The transient current to the oxygen cathode is here analyzed mathematically, and the results compared to new measurements. Differences are believed due to an inadequate representation of the geometry of the soil‐air interface. Keywords
