Abstract
This paper describes the rationale underlying the enrichment programme of the Young Persons' Institute for the Promotion of Art and Science. It emphasises an holistic approach to provision for exceptional pupi Is concentrating on the need of the pupil to participate in the normal school programme and in the extra-curricular activities provided by the Institute. The further emphasis is on the development of the creative attitude. The paper concludes with a detailed description of the Institute's activities.
