Abstract
50 normal subjects and 130 patients with different vestibular diseases underwent a caloric test a.m. Hallpike-Fitzgerald and a caloric test with ENG followed by a computer analysis of the response. None or only a very weak correlation could be demonstrated between the results of the two methods. It is concluded, that this can be attributed to the evaluation of different parameters (duration and maximum speed of the slow phase, respectively). Keywords
