Abstract
The underlying theory of hydrothermal synthesis is presented and the apparatus used is described. By way of illustration the determination of the solubility of quartz in superheated steam at high pressures and the determination of the compositions of coexisting gas and liquid phases in the system H2O–Na2O–SiO2 at 400°C. are discussed. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
