The Isthmic Mucous Membrane of the Human Uterus

Abstract
From a study of mucous membranes of 38 human uteri removed at operation, representing different phases of the endometrial cycle, it is reported that the isthmic mucosa is a continuation of the endometrial basalis. Therefore the isthmic uteri are not an entity of equal importance with the cervix and corpus, but part of the corpus uteri.
