Abstract
The frequencies and symmetries of the even‐parity lattice vibrations of BaClF, BaBrF, and SrClF are determined by means of polarized Raman scattering from oriented single crystals. The polarizations and frequencies of the vibrations are interpreted in terms of symmetry coordinates. Keywords
