Abstract
32% of 309 jack rabbits, Lepus californicus merriami, and 20.8% of 24 cottontails, Sylvilagus floridanus, from pastures in the coastal prairie were naturally infected with liver flukes. These animals serve as important reservoir hosts, perpetuating liver fluke infection where conditions are favorable for the development of the snail intermediate host. Keywords
