The signs of the electro-optic coefficients for lithium niobate

Abstract
All four independent electro-optic coefficients of LiNbO3 are found to be positive when reference axes based on the I.R.E. Piezoelectric Standards are used. The sign of r42 is determined for the first time, and the sign of r22 previously reported is found to be in error.Keywords
