Abstract
The evaluation of four 345-kV potheads shows that the combination of capacitance grading and factory-wound foil stress cone can effectively terminate oil-filled 345-kV cables. Experience early in the test program prompted minor changes in the pothead design. The modifications were thoroughly tested and were incorporated in the pothead for cable system 3. The examination of this pothead confirms the completely satisfactory design which is now available for service installations. Keywords
