Abstract
Summary. By using fine-needle aspiration biopsy, liver tissue could be obtained from adults considered to be strictly healthy. The activity was measured of phosphorylase, amylo-1,6-glucosidase, acid α-glucosidase and glucose-6-phosphatase. The results obtained represent the first really normal values in the human liver of these enzyme activities. The activity of α-glucosidase was higher and that of the other enzymes similar to the values found earlier on less strictly normal controls. The possibility now available to define the normal range of enzyme values in human liver may facilitate the evaluation of enzyme analyses on liver tissue in disease. Keywords
