Abstract
p-Hydroxybenzoic acid and pyrocatechol have been condensed with p-phenylenediacrylic acid to obtain a thermally and photochemically cross-linkable thermotropic mesomorphic copolyester. Cross-linking did not result in the destruction of the liquid-crystalline phase which was identified by hot-stage polarized microscopy as nematic. Keywords
