Abstract
The angular distribution of the first seven anti-Stokes lines produced by stimulated Raman scattering in compressed hydrogen was investigated. Most of the off-axis radiation was observed at cone angles somewhat smaller than the phase-matching directions. A simple model, which explains the experimental observations, is presented. Keywords
