Abstract
This article describes the Drug Dependence Unit, a multimodality treatment agency which functions both independently and as an integral part of a community mental health center and a university medical school. Discussed are benefits and disadvantages of comprehensive care for drug-dependent individuals and problems incurred in the delivery of service to the selected population.Keywords
