Abstract
The effect of X-ray therapy and oestrogens on serum SF activity was studied in six acromegalic patients. X-ray therapy produced questionable clinical effects and no change of the serum SF level. In two subjects oestrogen resulted in a normal serum SF level which was paralleled by marked clinical improvement. In the other four cases, the serum SF level was not affected, although two of these patients showed minor clinical improvement. Keywords
