Abstract
Wiechert-Herglotz integration around the boundary of the p-δ area representing the τ contribution of a ray segment gives the corresponding depth increment. Thus, Wiechert-Herglotz inversion can be performed with reference depths other than the surface of the Earth and with nonsurface as well as surface focus p-Δ curves providing that a depth can be assigned to any point on the path of integration. Keywords
