Abstract
From the 9th to the 19th day of incubation, the total non-protein N increased 44.6% in the yolk and 41% in the embryo, both in compounds precipitated by phosphotungstic acid and in those not so precipitated. Free cholin increased from 6.64 mgm. in a fresh egg to 2.27 mgm. in one incubated 19 days. Meanwhile, the combined cholin decreased from 79.45 mgm. to 29.54 mgm.
