Abstract
The article provides some historical background information on the article “Living Systems: The Organization,” by James G. Miller, published in the 1972 issue of the periodical “34;Behavioral Science.” Furthermore, it discusses some issues that may be raised as a result of the conceptual framework which Miller proposes, and examines some beginning steps toward comparing living systems organization theory to other theories of organization. The author asserts that Miller's article provides a foundation for a general theory of organization. Keywords
