Studies included eggs of both generations of borers at Lafayette and West Lafayette, Indiana. Four strains of corn planted on 3 dates were used. Predaceous arthropods and egg masses were recorded by individual corn plant. Egg masses were rechecked 3 times per week until hatching, destruction by predators, or disappearance. Of the total eggs for both generations, 11.58% were destroyed by predators. Ceratomegilla fuscilabrls was the most abundant predaceous species.
