Abstract
A preliminary report of the effect of high-intensity noise on cochlear hair cells. The animals have been exposed to various kinds of noise from two different tone generators, jet engines, helicopters, gun shots and white noise. The structural changes appearing inside the organ of Corti are described.Keywords
