Abstract
A scanning Perot-Fabry interferometer, comparable with the english TAURUS system, has been developed by Marseille Observatory to work at the Cassegrain focus of the 3.6m CFH Te lescope, using a focal reducer and a photon counting detector. This system is named CIGALE from "Cinematique des Galaxies") and has been used successfully at CFHT in december 1982 and april 1983. Promising results have been obtained about the velocity field of galaxies, but thereare many others interesting applications with such a performing sytem,© (1984) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
