Abstract
We have realized 1 cm long DFB lasers integrated on an Er- Yb-doped phosphate glass substrate with the use of Ion Exchange technology. The grating has been written in a photoresist layer with an interferometric exposure setup and transferred on the glass top surface with a Reactive Ion Etching. The lasers emit in a single longitudinal mode at 1.5418 micrometers with a pump power threshold of 27 mW, and a slope efficiency of 1.6 percent.Keywords
