Abstract
A review of noninvasive techniques for the evaluation of peripheral and cerebral circulation is given. The various methods are discussed in the context of the role of the Clinical Engineer in the Vascular Laboratory. The methods employed clinically and two of the most promising techniques being developed at the Medical College of Wisconsin, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and transcutaneous electromagnetic flowmetry (TEMF), are described. Keywords
