Abstract
IN recent years histoplasmosis has been recognized as a common disease throughout the central United States. Although this fungus produces a wide variety of illnesses, the majority of reports in the literature deal with its rare and unusual manifestations. The present case is presented to point up the manifestations of a common form of the disease, severe nonfatal histoplasmosis. Several pertinent but not widely known facts about the roentgenographic picture, skin tests and serology will be discussed. Comments regarding management and the possible role of a recently described antibiotic, amphotericin B,¶ as a therapeutic agent are set forth.Case Report . . .
