OZI-Violating Couplings and Hadronic Production of Q( Q')

Abstract
The decay widths Γ(J/ψ → qq), Γ(ηc → qq) and Γ(ηc′ → qq) are re-examined. By using the results, the cross sections for hadronic production of ηc(ηQ) or ηc′(ηQ′) are predicted on the basis of the model of quark-antiquark as well as gluon-gluon fusion, and the ratio of σ(h + h → ηc′ → J/ψ + γ) to σ(h + h → χ c → J/ ψ + γ) is estimated. It is pointed out that the study of hadronic production of ηc(ηc′) is one of the best means to see which is the most suitable among the models suggested by several authors in order to explain the data for J/ψ production in p-N and p-N collisions.
