ELECTRON MICROSCOPICAL STUDIES OF ROSE PETAL CELLS DURING FLOWER MATURATION

Abstract
Petals from the hybrid tea rose 'Lady Seton' have been selected at various stages of maturation and examined by electron microscopy. The ultrastructural changes taking place during maturation and their relationship with the production of essential oils are discussed.
