Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 69-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of retinal hemorrhages.She had been in her usual state of health until six months previously, when there was the onset of weakness, fatigue, gingival bleeding and epistaxis. For several months before admission she had visual blurring; an ophthalmologist examined her and referred her to the hospital.She had had scoliosis since her youth and was known to have Paget's disease of the right femoral neck.The temperature was 36.9°C, the pulse 80, and the respirations 20.
