Abstract
Acute leukemia patients with a 4;11 translocation have had a poor prognosis in the past, averaging 9 months survival from diagnosis. Three patients from The Children's Hospital of Denver were reported in 1982--all died. This report describes five additional patients who fared better. Aggressive treatment during induction and maintenance with intensive alternating non-cross-resistant chemotherapeutic agents may have contributed to the improved survival. Keywords
