Abstract
Strong coupling to volume elastic waves is achieved with a pseudoperiodic grating on the plane surface of piezoelectric plate. First the identification of various elastic modes is established by correlating the dispersion equation and the experimental results obtained from swept frequency measurement of the elastic waveguide, and second the enhanced coupling to volume elastic modes is explained in terms of a frequency condition and a phase‐matching condition. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
