Abstract
Vacuum u.v. Emission intensities of h2 molecules excited by kev electron impact are used for determining the dependence of the electronic transition moment on the internuclear distance in the lyman band system for the region of 1.3 aa. A method of evaluation based on rkr and adiabatic calculations is discussed in comparison with electron impact spectroscopic results. The electronic transition moment in the lyman band system is found to exhibit a maximum at about 1.6 aa as predicted by theory. Keywords
