Abstract
A healing effect of PG[prostaglandin]E1 on chronic ischemic distal ulcers in a woman with symptoms of thrombangitis obliterans present for more than 20 yr is reported. Before the treatment with PGE1 was started the patient had had ulcers on the toes for 9 mo. Conventional dermatological treatment as well as treatment with a thrombolytic drug given i.v. had no effect on the pain, nor did it heal the ulcers. The effect of the PGE1-treatment was dramatic. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
