Abstract
The purpose of this article is to review the present level of knowledge and provide new data with regard to delineating the possible role of isoquinoline alkaloids in ethanol's acute and chronic actions and how these alkaloids may serve as biochemical mediators to the highly addictive opiate(s).Keywords
