Abstract
Xanthin was found on the wings of the S. American Pieridae Catopsilia argante (0.2 mg), C. rurina (0.1 mg) and C. statira (0.015 mg). The separation of the xanthin from xanthopterin was carried out with Ba(OH)2 and from guanopterin with H2SO4 (conc. varying with the amt. of xanthin present). This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
