Prevention of Lower Limb Paralysis by Neutralization of Type-C RNA Virus in Wild Mice2

Abstract
We demonstrated earlier that a paralytic disease observed in wild mice could be experimentally transmitted by a type-C RNA virus. With specific mouse and guinea pig antisera, we neutralized the paralytic effect of type-C virus. Wild mouse type-C viruses appeared to have related envelope antigens, but even isolates from the same trapping area could be differentiated in neutralization tests.
