Abstract
26 cases of histologically_ verified oligodendroglioma were studied with reference to the postoperative survival period in relation to the duration of preoperative symptoms and location of the tumors. In general oligodendrogliomas appear to be slow-growing but every effort should be made to remove the tumor as completely as possible. Only one tumor showed abundant mitotic figures and no mitotic figures could be found in most of the tumors. The avg. postoperative survival period was over 7 yrs. Keywords
