Abstract
It is shown, for a class of adaptive observers which estimate system state and parameters from the scalar input and measurement data of a linear system, that certain a priori knowledge of the parameters can be represented by linear equations involving the parameters, and that the observers are readily modified so that their parameter estimates reflect this knowledge. Keywords
