Abstract
Feeding stimulants of Eurema hecabe mandarina De L''Orza which accept only leguminous plant species were extracted. Biting and feeding resposes for larvae were observed and recorded. Extracts of Lespedeza cuneata G. Don were analyzed and the most active compound was identified as D-pinitol. This compound was found to occur in 9 other host plants when identified by gas chromatography. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
