Abstract
Clones (441) of Bermuda grass, Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers., were screened for resistance to 1st-instar fall armyworms, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith). Among the 11 lines were rated resistant or intennediate in resistance to larval attack. Analysis of plant extracts for 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone and benzoxazolinone content show these compounds not to be indicators of fall armyworm resistance in Bermudagrass. Keywords
