Abstract
A review of the area concerned with psychotherapeutic approaches to the treatment of alcoholism yielded a considerably less than optimistic reaction regarding the efficacy of such treatment maneuvers. Sensing the need for an investment of effort in newer directions, a treatment program, which follows the principles of behavior modification, was developed and is delineated here. Keywords
