Abstract
Summary: This paper represents the first effort in quantifying the "turbulence intensity" as related to deliverability front gas wells. A new dimensionless number called the Forchheimer number, NFo, has been proposed along with a generalized expression of turbulence coefficient. Applications include a new concept called "inverse productivity index, JI," proposed as an alternative to classical backpressure plots for characterizing gas well performance. Keywords
