Abstract
The ground-state of odd-mass nuclei are studied within the framework of the core-particle coupling model. The space of core states includes both the ground state and beta bands. Energies and electromagnetic transition probabilities are investigated for the cases 155Gd, 157Dy and 175Hf. Reasonably good agreement with experiment is found. Keywords
