Abstract
Acetaldehyde was not detected in whole blood or plasma of control Sprague-Dawley rats or rats treated with Antabuse, or in whole blood of control Swiss-Webster mice or mice treated with diethyldithiocarbamate. [Antabuse and diethyldithiocarbamate are inhibitors of liver aldehyde dehydrogenase; the results presented in this paper conflict with those of others who detected in rats endogenous blood acetaldehyde levels that increased after treatment with Antabuse.].This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
