Abstract
Fifty-three male officers of the Boston Police Department voluntarily participated in a 12-week nutrition program with weight control as a primary goal, and education in related health factors as a secondary goal. One year after graduation, 26 respondents to a survey reported losing an average additional 0.5 kg since graduation for a mean weight loss of 11.4 kg since their introduction into the classes. None had returned to their original weight status. Keywords
