Abstract
In this procedure of analysis for iron in serum and measurement of iron-binding capacity, the Beckman Model 560 DSA and ferrozine are used. The analysis rate is 120 samples per hour. Interferences were investigated and a procedure was devised for masking high concentrations of copper. A modified procedure was used to prepare samples for the assay of total iron-binding capacity. This procedure is more rapid and requires smaller amounts of sample than many methods now in use. Keywords
